FOLLOW-UP ON BANFF PORN PANEL – Vivid co-chairman Steven Hirsch’s remarks at The Next MEDIA Conference during The Banff World Television Festival in Canada received considerable media attention. Media from adult to tech sites picked up on his prediction that porn will lead consumer acceptance of the new "Smart TV" era – just as it did with VHS, DVD and VOD. Steven was interviewed by reporter Lisa Wilton of the Calgary Sun and also by “Your World This Week” on Rogers TV in Canada as well as other media. Steven hosted a panel that also featured Scott Coffman, President and CEO of VOD leader AEBN and Darren Roberts, CEO of AVN Media Network. He revealed that Vivid is developing new tools to distribute its award-winning adult films, celebrity sex tapes and sex education videos through the web, mobile and VOD, channels that "will be crucial to the future of our company and for the entire adult industry."

MORE BATMANN XXX BUZZ – Batman XXX: A Porn Parody continues its run as #1 on the adult movie sales charts, and continues to get high praise from mainstream and comic media. This past week it received a definitive tribute – a full, four color comic page in the country’s best known alternative weekly, The Village Voice, which devoted an entire page to a satirical cartoon by Ward Sutton called “BatPorn.” Sutton’s introductory panel includes a take-off on the iconic Batman® logo and announces: “Brother Batmen, I’ve summoned you here to witness the latest incarnation of Batman. Brace yourselves…He’s rated X!” In more Batman XXX buzz, look for an article in an upcoming issue of GQ UK on adult movie spoofs and including Batman XXX as one of the best. And GQ Italy interviewed Axel for a story on Batman parody. Numerous radio stations around the country, from Seattle to Orlando, are currently running promotions of Batman XXX.

RADARONLINE SAYS KENDRA’S MARRIAGE DOING JUST FINE – Debunking reports that Vivid’s release of the Kendra Wilkinson sex tape, Kendra Exposed, had created a rift in her marriage, RadarOnline says the couple is doing just fine. Under the headline “Sex Tape Can’t Cool Heat Between Kendra Wilkinson & Hank Baskett,” RadarOnline reports: “Sex tape, what sex tape? Playboy stunner Kendra Wilkinson and her NFL hubby Hank Baskett were snapped during a romantic embrace while shopping in Encino, California on Wednesday, and RadarOnline.com has the pics for you. The reality TV star and Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver -- whose first anniversary (July 27) is rapidly approaching -- seemed unfazed by the recent release of the sex tape Kendra Exposed, which showed the sexy blonde making love to a high school beau named Justin. The Girls Next Door beauty, who delivered the couple's son Hank IV via C-section last December, looked pretty in a long shirt and jeans, while Baskett wore a black shirt and white pants.” Vivid reports that sales continue to go well for Kendra Exposed, which alternates with Batman XXX the top spot.

SAVANNA A HIGHLIGHT AT “SAFER SEX IN THE CITY” PARTY – Vivid Girl Savanna Samson was a star Thursday night in New York City at the AIDS Service Center NYC annual Safer Sex in the City benefit. The sexy event at the hot Chelsea club La Pomme this year is once again all about playing safe in the age of AIDS. It's also part of National HIV Testing Day in June. Safer Sex in the City playfully spotlights the importance of HIV testing, knowing your status, and protecting yourself and your loved ones. Savanna shared the spotlight with a screening of “If You’re Out There”, the video we produced by the AIDS Service Center with singer-songwriter John Legend – and the participation of stars from television, Broadway, sports, and music. Vivid provided Savanna with 25 DVD's that Savanna signed, which auctioned off during the evening, with the proceeds going to ASCNYC. Savanna also auctioned bottles of her wine with the proceeds going to ASCNYC, which is filming a TV Pilot Savanna is making titled "Full Bodied" that will show how an adult star is now branding herself into the mainstream market.
