TRISTAN'S "ROUGH SEX" SELECTED BY CINEKINK FILM FESTIVAL --The seventh annual CineKink Film Festival will screen excerpts from "Tristan Taormino's Rough Sex" movie from Vivid on Saturday, February 20th at 3pm at the Anthology Film Archives, 32 Second Avenue in New York City. The movie - also nominated for a 2010 AVN Award and named as one of XCritic.com's 10 Top Adult DVDs of 2009 -- is part of a showcase of adult industry films titled "Bring It!" There will be an audience Q&A with directors Tristan Taormino and Dominic Ford following the screening and more information is available at http://www.cinekink.com. Says Tristan: "I am honored to be part of an amazing film festival and to have my work shown in such great company. I love the films of all the directors in the showcase I am part of and I can't wait to see 'Rough Sex' on the big screen." CineKink NYC presents a specially-curated program of films and videos that celebrate and explore a wide diversity of sexuality. Billing itself as "the kinky film festival," the event will run from Feb. 16-21. Presented by CineKink, an organization dedicated to the recognition and encouragement of sex-positive and kink friendly depictions in film and television, works presented at the festival will range from documentary to drama, comedy to experimental, mildly spicy to quite explicit and everything inbetween.

BATMAN XXX BUZZ BEGINS -- -As we get closer to Spring 2010 release date, there is an increasing amount of media buzz for Batman XXX: A Porn Parody, the Alex Braun take on the classic TV show from the '60s that will be distributed by Vivid. San Francisco's Examiner.com proclaimed: "Holy bondage, Batman!" In her Examiner article, reporter Sarah Estrella writes: "Vivid Entertainment is going all out for Batman XXX: A Porn Parody, a big budget take on the camp classic 1960s TV version of the caped crusader comics. The film, directed by Axel Braun, will star Nick Manning standing in for Adam West as Batman, Kris Slater standing in for Burt Ward as Robin, and 2010 AVN Performer of the Year Tori Black as Catwoman in the role made famous by Julie Newmar. The parody, of course, will have a lot more sex than the original, but even the TV show was known for pushing the envelope, for its time: Newmar tying up the caped crusader was an entire generation's first introduction to the titillating appeal of kittenish bondage sex play" Other coverage has appeared in media ranging from ComicsAlliance.com to HardCoreGossip.com and BleedingCool.com, which wrote: "Evan Stone will appear in the role of The Riddler - though odds are he'll be The Diddler before it reaches the screen. Someone knowledgeable in this kind of thing informs me 'I'll say this for him - he's the male porn star all female porn starlets rave about.'" Alex Braun was honored last week as Director of the Year at the XBiz Awards ceremony.

VIVID WINS XBIZ AWARDS MARKETING TITLE - Vivid Entertainment won the XBIZ Award last week for Marketing Campaign of the Year for "Throat: A Cautionary Tale.". On hand to accept the award was Marci Hirsch, Vivid Entertainment's vice president of production. Said Marci: "Marketing is so important for our showcase films and our plans for the release of 'Throat: A Cautionary Tale' worked out perfectly as we were able to support it with our series 'Deeper Throat' on Showtime, which followed the development of the film. We're delighted that XBIZ recognized our efforts with this award."
