TODAY'S PORN STARS ARE "NOT JUST ENTHUSIASTIC, THEY'RE FEARLESS," SAYS VIVID DIRECTOR B. SKOW FOR VIVID'S 'BRAND NEW FACES' SERIES

LOS ANGELES - (March 10, 2009) - New adult film industry actresses are "not just enthusiastic, they're fearless," according to B. Skow director of the most successful series of triple-x movies using first-time porn stars.

Skow, who has directed 16 features in the Brand New Faces series from Vivid Entertainment says the "actresses entering the adult business today have a refreshingly positive mindset."

The unique Brand New Faces series offers the first guarantee in the history of adult video, offering money back if the actresses have ever made an adult DVD before. Skow has so far interviewed and filmed hundreds of young women who want to enter the adult industry.

"This new group isn't burdened with the 'stigma' of being in porn," Skow said upon the release of his latest movie, Brand New Faces 16. "They're not just enthusiastic; they're fearless and will try anything. It's kind of breathtaking. They view porn as a career option and appearing in the series as a possible step towards being a Vivid Girl or towards work in mainstream entertainment. If this doesn't work out, they'll have fun anyway and get paid for it. Most of them have read Jenna Jameson's book (How to Make Love Like a Porn Star: A Cautionary Tale), and they've watched the Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian sex videos. They've seen our Vivid Girls being interviewed on TV, watched our "Deeper Throat" series on Showtime and tell me that all of this has influenced their decision to make an adult movie."

With an extensive mainstream background in photography and advertising, Skow himself represents a new breed of adult director. "I was shooting national ad campaigns and doing a lot of celebrity photography and so I sort of tip-toed into the adult business a few years ago, wanting to see how much creative control I would have. I soon realized that my opportunities for creativity were limitless and I never looked back," he said.

Skow has directed 48 adult films, including the Brand New Faces series and movies starring adult superstars such as Vivid Girls Savanna Samson, Sunny Leone and Monique Alexander. AVN called him "the next major adult film director."
