SAVANNA & BECKY & THE PUSSYCATS - Vivid Girl Savanna Samson made news this week when she endorsed Rudy Giuliani for president during an interview with PaperMag.com managing editor Rebecca Carroll for her new blog, Becky & the Pussycats . Savanna's support for Rudy made a " Page Six " of The New York Post the next day. On the Fox News Channel's " Red Eye " show Thursday one of the topics discussed was Savanna's support of Giuliani.

Photos of her were flashed on the screen and host Greg Gutfeld said he doesn't care who she is supporting, he's voting for whoever it is. The one and only Geraldo Rivera , conservative columnist Doug Giles , FOX News' Janice Dean the Weather Machine , 'Avenue Q ' actor Christian Anderson and Us Weekly editor Noelle Hancock were on the panel that discussed Savanna's endorsement of Giuliani.

Carroll was much taken with Savanna in her Paper.mag blog interview, which began:

"When Savanna Samson greets me at the door of her midtown Manhattan apartment, I am immediately struck by how beautiful she is; she doesn't look like she looks in her movies, or in any of her publicity shots. Wearing very little makeup, short terry cloth shorts, a snug-fitting tank and slide-on mules, she's just plain petite and pretty and natural looking."

During the interview, Carroll asked Savanna to "Tell me about your politics." The answer: "Well, I fell in love with Guiliani years ago -- before and during 9/11... I like how he has cleaned up the city. Like I said, there's a time and a place for everything, and I think porn should be in the privacy of your own home. I feel like he could do what he did with New York City all across America ." She'd like to see him become president, she said, adding, "I don't think he would turn down my vote because I'm a porn star!"

MONIQUE ON "ENTOURAGE" - Vivid Girl Monique Alexander made a cameo appearance on the HBO hit series " Entourage " last week.

In her role, Monique had an exchange with Vince , played by Adrian Grenier . The episode was about Vince and the guys saying goodbye to their mansion because the crew is investing in their own movie, " Medellin" . The connection with adult was that i n a stroke of genius, the character E taps Walsh - who's been trying to "bring the class back to porno" - to direct " Medellin " on a shoestring budget. "I didn't audition for the part," Monique told AVN. "One of the producers on the show got hold of me. I was in Sacramento visiting my family at the time, and so they flew me down to Los Angeles just to shoot it. It was a really great experience for me...I got treated like a real celebrity, and that was great."

TRISTAN TAORMINO'S "CHEMISTRY" TAKES TWO FEMINIST PORN AWARDS -- Vivid director Tristan Taormino won two honors

at the Feminist Porn Awards show in Toronto on June 1.

Nicknamed " The Emmas " in honor of feminist godmother Emma Goldman , the Feminist Porn Awards celebrate erotic directors who have revolutionized porn.

Tristan was both a presenter and winner.

She won the honor for

" Hottest Gonzo Sex Scene " and " Hottest Diverse Cast " - both in "Chemistry."

Another Vivid win in Toronto was " Best Feature " -- awarded to " The Masseuse ," directed by Vivid's Paul Thomas , the most honored director in the history of the adult industry.

VIVID FEATURED IN LOS ANGELES DAILY NEWS PROFILE - Vivid Entertainment and co-chairman Steven Hirsch were featured this week in a profile in the Los Angeles Daily News written by staff reporter Beth Barrett .

The article, titled " The Valley Exposed: From pioneer to porn giant " charted Steven's entry into the business and the launch of the company in 1984. It notes that Vivid "has grown into one of the world's largest adult-entertainment companies."

"We're just another option for adults," Steven is quoted as saying. "I believe people make decisions for themselves. It's not for me or anybody else to pass any kind of moral judgment. We make movies that people want to watch and we'll continue to do that."

Reporter Barrett also focused on the fact that "for the past two decades, Vivid has been a pioneer in using new technology."

She quotes Steven as saying that the company has positioned itself to stay ahead of market trends, particularly with today's rapidly changing distribution channels. "The Internet came along and we positioned ourselves right away to take advantage of that, to make it a key part of our business... So we weren't as dependent on video or DVD sales as some of the other producers. This year, less than 30 percent of our income will come from DVDs."

G4 Network Profiles Vivid-Alt - Vivid-Alt and its head, Eon McKai -- along with performers Dan a DeArmond , Reagan Maddux and Dan iel -- were profiled recently by cable network G4TV recently. The network filmed a day in the life of the team during production of McKai's upcoming feature " The Doll Underground." Eon told AVN the G4 piece turned out great. "It's the sort of thing that puts us out there with our customers...I want to get exposure with the type of people who are going to buy Vivid-Alt titles, and the G4 show really did that. With the G4 segment, the showcase at the Silver Lake Film Festival , we've really been getting out there in the public recently."

Eon was referring to his participation in a Q & A panel at the Silver Lake Film Festival and the fact that several Vivid-Alt titles were featured in an " Alt Porn Showcase " at the festival. The audience for G4 is skewed to the 19-34 male and has been called "the fastest growing network on television for 2006."
