NEXT BIKE & HOT ROD NIGHT SLATED FOR AUGUST 7TH -- August 7th has been selected as the date for the next Bike & Hot Rod Night with the Stars party at Harper’s Sports Bar in Northridge, California. Briana Banks, one of the most beautiful and popular Vivid Girls, and Vivid Girl Stefani Morgan, star of hit movie “Rawhide,” will host. The events have become THE place to be and be seen in the San Fernando Valley, with an unbeatable mixture of beautiful Vivid Girls, hot rods and buffed motorcycles. More than 500 people turned out for the last party, on July 10th to mingle with Cassidey, Stefani, Monique Alexander, Sunny Leone and Tiffany Taylor. The Vivid Girls sign autographs and give out gifts such as Vivid sampler DVDs, t-shirts, cigars and other goodies. There’s also a Wet T-Shirt contest, judged by the Vivid Girls, with a $300 for first place prize, $150 for second place and, $50 for third place. Harper’s Sports Bar is at 19333 Business Center Drive (818-349-3474) in Northridge and you must be 18 or over to attend.VIVID GIRLS MENTIONED IN COURANT ARTICLE -- The Nevada gubernatorial campaign of Mimi Miyagi star of the 2003 Vivid bestseller “Happy Ending” has turned additional focus on mainstream activities of two Vivid Girls. Hartford Courant newspaper reporter Jesse Leavenworth notes that Mimi’s “experience and exposure in adult films gives (her) some advantage.” The Courant article also mentions Vivid Girls Savanna Samson and Jenna Jameson. It quotes William Bike, author of the book “Winning Political Campaigns,” as saying that “sex and politics have long been linked and that the porn industry has been successfully probing the mainstream. He mentioned adult film star Jenna Jameson, who has a best-selling book, ‘How To Make Love Like a Porn Star: A Cautionary Tale.’ Most recently, blue-film star Savanna Samson has been getting rave reviews for her new Italian wine, ‘Sogno Uno.’”
VIVID AGAIN IN DOWNLOAD SPOTLIGHT -- When online movie distributor Movielink LLC announced that it has licensed technology that allows the service's customers to transfer downloaded films to DVDs for playback on standard DVD players, astute reporters pointed out that Vivid Entertainment has been there-done that. The Associated Press noted that Movielink has “cleared a technological hurdle for Santa Monica-based Movielink, but the company still lacks permission from Hollywood studios to offer their movies for DVD burning.” But the AP added in the next paragraph: “To date, only adult entertainment company Vivid Entertainment has sold films to consumers online for direct copying to DVDs through an agreement with CinemaNow, a rival of Movielink.” The story was covered and Vivid was mentioned by dozens of newspapers and websites, including the Washington Post, San Jose Mercury News and San Francisco Examiner, CBS News and the major technology websites.
